Matt Warburton is the founder and co-principle of Emdoubleyu Design, a Vancouver-based design studio. He is a part-time instructor in the ECUAD/BCIT Design Essentials program, a member of the GDC national executive, chair of the Kwantlen GDMA Advisory Committee and a past member of the Canada Post Stamp Advisory Committee. He was honoured with GDC Fellowship in 2003 and, since becoming a graphic designer in the early 1980s, has won numerous awards for his work. An opinionated GDC listserve contributor, Matt is noted for his obsessive use of Cooper Black, as well as an inability to execute an accurate slapshot. He recently took on an Italian mistress whom he keeps locked up in the garage and takes out only when the sun is shining on the Sea-to-Sky Highway. His favourite designer is Massimo Tamburini, the creator of his mistress.
